Yes, it does!  WillPowders Kombucha does include a probiotic - L-paracasei 37.  This particular strain of probiotic helps support gut health by introducing more good bacteria into the gut, but it can also support better mood, and help to mitigate anxiety and stress.  This means that Lpc 37 also has psychobiotic properties.   

However, when you consider its properties as a whole, our Kombucha’s true biotic makeup means it’s actually symbiotic as it contains pre-, pro-, post- and psycho- biotics.  

Our Kombucha provides a prebiotic in the fibre we use to encapsulate the powdered Kombucha which goes on to feed good bacteria in the gut and our Kombucha also has postbiotic properties, as we sterilise the Kombucha to ensure no harmful bacteria remain after sterilisation.  Science now understands that metabolites in these dead bacteria also have beneficial qualities in maintaining gut health.   

No, since pasteurised kombuchas results in a less stable, more unpredictable end products.  Unwanted bacteria and other microorganisms can remain after pasteurisation.  Pasteurised kombucha could also have unpredictable carbon dioxide and alcohol levels.

Yes.  This is because fermenting tea with a SCOBY is a process that encourages the flourishing of both helpful and not so helpful bacteria.   We sterilise our Kombucha to stop the fermenting process so that we can bring consistently delicious flavours to you in your Kombucha drink and be certain that no harmful bacteria or microorganisms remain.  We’re not in the business of making you poorly, after all!  But, don’t worry, the dead microbes are postbiotic in nature, with science now considering their properties as also beneficial for a good gut.  

Don’t worry - we also add in a carefully selected probiotic, Lpc 37, that gives your gut the chance to populate itself with helpful bacteria.  And, in actual fact, Lpc 37 also acts as a psychobiotic that has the potential to act on your mood, stress and anxiety in a beneficial way.  

Powdering the Kombucha and preserving it through an innovative patented fibre encapsulation technique means the Kombucha’s truest flavour is preserved, alongside its nutrient properties, such as Vitamin B12, alongside the flavonoids and polyphenols.  Powdering our Kombucha does not affect its effectiveness, so fret not.   In addition, because the product is powdered, it doesn’t require cans or bottles which are bulky to store and carry.  Powdering Kombucha helps it step into the 21st century so you can slip one in your bag for later!
